December to Dismember was a professional wrestling event first held by the original Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in 1995 as a regular event and not a pay-per-view (PPV). The event was revived as a PPV event for the first time and was promoted by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for its new ECW brand. It was the second of two ECW pay-per-views produced by WWE, the first being One Night Stand. It was also the first ECW brand pay-per-view since its revival on June 13, 2006. The 2007 edition of this event (scheduled to be held December 2 at the Cricket Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina) was cancelled for unknown reasons in February 2007 shortly after all WWE PPV events became tri-branded.
