Dan Moriarty

Dan Moriarty was an Australian rules footballer in the (then) South Australian Football League (SAFL).

Moriarty began his career late because of World War I, but became a charging defender with brilliant judgment. Moriarty is the only player to have won three consecutive Magarey Medals as the fairest and most brilliant player in the league, all while playing with South Adelaide Football Club.

In 1996 Moriarty was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame. In 2002 he was inducted into the South Australian National Football League Hall of Fame.
