Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories is a unit in the Israeli Ministry of Defense that engages in coordinating civilian issues between the Government of Israel, the Israel Defense Forces, international organizations, and the Palestinian Authority.
The unit is composed of the following branches:
- The Office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, headed by an Aluf.
- The Office of the Deputy Coordinator, headed by a Brigadier-General.
- The Civil Administration in the West Bank, including coordination and communication in the cities of Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarm, Qalqilyah, Ramallah, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Hebron, and Jericho. It is headed by a Brigadier-General.
- The Coordination and Communication Administration of the Gaza Strip, headed by a Colonel.
- The Spokespersonship and Public Relations Office, in-charge of public communication and other publications.
- The Foreign Relations and International Organizations Branch, responsible for coordinating activities of international organizations.
- The Finance Branch, tasked with coordinating economic measures.
- The Infrastructure Branch, responsible for coordinating infrastructure-related activities: water, sewage, electricity, communications, construction, and so on, including the building of the Security Barrier.
- The School for Communication and Coordination, which instructs officers and soldiers, in particular, spoken Arabic.
As of July 2003, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories is Aluf Yosef Mishlav.
