Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) is a statewide public television network, providing PBS programming in Connecticut.

All CPTV stations carry the same programming. The digital signal offers the main network, plus CPTV2 and CPTV Kids. CPTV2 merely rebroadcasts the Create lifestyle/human interest channel. CPTV Kids, as can be implied by the title, broadcasts mainly children's programming. In addition, CPTV operates an HD channel. CPTV2 and CPTV Kids are mainly carried on cable TV, and also in some areas by DTT.
CPTV is the presenting station of two popular PBS children's series, Barney & Friends and Thomas & Friends.
In the 1990s, M*A*S*H star Alan Alda hosted a science show called Scientific American Frontiers, based on the popular magazine Scientific American. That show was also produced by CPTV and aired on many PBS affiliates.
As of 2007, the CPTV stations are:

The network previously operated a Waterbury translator, W12BH (channel 12), but that station was taken off the air to allow WTXX to begin digital television operations.
WEDY in New Haven has been off the air since September 2005 due to an equipment failure and will cease analog operations to allow limited funds to be spent on the construction of its digital facilities.[citation needed]
