Chris Myers

Chris Myers is a sports broadcaster who works for numerous media outlets and covers several different sports.

In 1998, Myers joined Fox Sports Net where he was one of the original anchors of The National Sports Report and the weekly sports magazine program Goin' Deep. In 2005, he debuted a new show on FSN, The Chris Myers Interview.

In 2000, Myers joined Fox Sports Radio where he currently co-hosts The Drive.

Multi accomplished and known for his deep, monotoned and hoarse like voice. He is,to some measure, a pictoral man with "Carni-" like features. He has a little catch phrase "I kid because I care". To whom some speculate, an older figure in his life ranted this to him.

Myers is also currently the studio host for NASCAR coverage on Fox (also on FX from 2001 to 2006). He is also a reporter for Fox Sports' coverage of the NFL and Major League Baseball, and was mentioned as a candidate as host of FOX NFL Sunday when that job became open. (Joe Buck would win the job.) In 2007, Myers will be sideline reporter for two games in the Bowl Championship Series, one of which is the championship game.

After the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, Myers interviewed Boise State running back Ian Johnson, who had just scored the winning two-point-conversion in overtime. During the interview, Myers let us all in on the surprise that Johnson was planning to propose to his girlfriend, cheerleader Chrissy Popadics. As Popadics entered the screen, Myers enlightened the audience, "I know you are going to propose to your girlfriend, congratulations."

Johnson, who hadn't yet popped the question, got down on one knee and proposed.

During NASCAR telecasts, Myers hosts "Ten Laps With...", which is an interview in which NASCAR drivers are asked questions, usually of an offbeat nature. (There was a related segment called "Ten Yards With..." that was on FOX NFL Sunday in 2005, hosted by Terry Bradshaw. It was adopted from the Myers concept)

With more than 20 years of broadcasting experience, Myers has covered virtually every major sports event including the Super Bowl, the World Series, the Daytona 500, and the Olympic Games.

Myers also serves as the play-by-play commentator for Tampa Bay Buccaneers preseason games that air locally on WFLA-TV.

Myers is known for such catch phrases as..."I kid because I care"..."You...your not good"..."Crazy go nuts"... He is also credited with establishing the concept of "Did You Know" While working for ESPN'S sportscenter. As host of "Up Close" Myers was the first to conduct a live interview with OJ Simpson after both his criminal trial and civil lawsuit. Chris Myers won a national Emmy award for his work while at ESPN.

Myers resides in Southern California with his family.
