Charlie Torano

Carlos (Charlie) Octavio Toraño (born July 12, 1967) is a cigar manufacturer and president of both Toraño Cigars and Central America Tobacco.
Toraño was born in Miami, Florida and attended the all-boys’ Catholic high school, Christopher Columbus and graduated in 1985. Charlie attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1989. He then Enrolled in the Florida State University, College of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1992. Charlie was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992 and maintains a Florida law license today.
Charlie’s professional experience began at the South Florida law firm Holland & Knight in 1992, as an associate specializing in commercial litigation. In June, 1996 Charlie’s father, Carlos Toraño, asked him to join the family business as Vice-President. Charlie was promoted to President of Toraño Cigars in June of 2005. He currently resides in Boca Raton, Florida.
