Casabona is a comune and town with a population of about 4000 people in the province of Crotone, in Calabria, Italy.

In 1300 it was the last town in the dominion of Abenante house and in 1472 it was passed to Diego di Cavaniglia conte of Montella. After the changing feudal dues associated with Carl VIII, it was sold to Aragon, King Federico for eight mila. The name Casalbuono, derives from the Latin word Casabundia, meaning "next to falling". which was thought to have been named after the town was destroyed from the earthquake of 1638; or according to others from the earthquake of 1783.

By 1807 the town had become part of Napoleon's empire although it had communal autonomy.

Casabona relies on the production of oil, wine, cereals, citruses, and the intense the breeding of the cattle.
