Carson Jones Daly (born June 22, 1973 in Santa Monica, California) is an American television personality. He became known for being a VJ on MTV's Total Request Live (TRL). He currently hosts Last Call with Carson Daly on NBC. Before becoming a VJ on TRL, Daly was a radio DJ with KROQ, based in Los Angeles, California.

On November 27, 2007, Daly announced that he has chosen to resume taping his late night television show in spite of the current Writers Guild of America strike and to write his own material, since he is not a member of the WGA. There has been an outcry against him by many of his peers and he has been accused of soliciting non-union writers.[1]
Daly's mother, Pattie Daly Caruso, is a breast cancer survivor who was honored at Lifetime’s Breast Cancer Heroes Luncheon in 2004. She and Carson have become breast cancer activists.[2] He has been spotted wearing Livestrong bracelets on numerous occasions.
His sister, Quinn Daly, works for Demand Media.
He once dated Jennifer Love Hewitt and Tara Reid.
