Caamas refers to a fictional world in the Star Wars universe.
Caamas was a Galactic Core planet in the Cirius system that was a highly populated world. It was one of the Core Founders of the Galactic Republic and the homeworld of the behemoths and the Caamasi people. It is said the early Jedi learned morality from the Caamasi. Despite this legend, few Caamasi ever learned the ways of the Force under the Jedi.
The planet was represented in the Galactic Senate by Eeshrin Ot'Hyne, whom opposed the Military Creation Act. Caamas remained loyal to the Republic during the Clone Wars.
The Empire had the planet bombarded 19 BBY with the aid of the Bothan spynet, shortly after the Clone Wars. Many survivors fled to Alderaan and Kerilt. Under the New Republic, a few Caamasi founded Refuge City on Caamas. A herdship also crashed on Caamas, and a xenotic rainforest of plants from Ithor took root on one continent.
