CHED is a talk radio station in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, broadcasting at 630 on the AM dial.

Although primarily concerned with talk and news programming, CHED is also the voice of the NHL Edmonton Oilers and CFL Edmonton Eskimos. In the late evenings it re-broadcasts older Radio dramas.

  • The Inside Story with Michelle Boden - Mondays 1:00 p.m. (MT)
  • Cop Talk hosted by 2 members of the Edmonton Police Service - Saturday afternoon 4:00 p.m. (MT)

For a significant portion of its history, CHED was Edmonton's (and North America's) most successful Top 40 station having a staggering 40% share of the local listening audience, but with the arrival of FM radio, it lost its listenership and moved to an all-talk format.

CHED continues to be the Number 1 Radio station in the Edmonton market, with an 11.9 Share.[1]
