CFCM is a television station. It is the TVA affiliate in Quebec City.

CFCM was Quebec's first private television station, going on the air for the first time on July 17, 1954. CFCM started out as a private bilingual CBC / SRC affiliate, initially owned by the Famous Players Corporation. At its launch, CFCM immediately linked up with both the CBC and SRC microwave networks. The station started broadcasting an all-French service on March 17, 1957, when Famous Players launched CKMI-TV.

When SRC opened CBVT-TV on September 7, 1964, CFCM-TV become TVA's first affiliated station. CFCM, along with five other stations, CKMI-TV, CHLT-TV, CHEM-TV, CFER-TV and CIMT-TV, were all purchased by Pathonic Communications in 1979. CFCM became the flagship station of Pathonic's new network (of which CKMI wasn't part, as it was an English-language station).

Télé-Métropole, the owner of the TVA network, acquired Pathonic on July 26, 1989. At the same time, CFCM became a full semi-satellite of CFTM-TV, which it has been to this day. The only fundamental difference between the schedules of CFCM and CFTM is the local newscasts.
