Buckingham County is one of the eighteen counties of Tasmania which are part of the Cadastral divisions of Tasmania. It is bordered to the north by the Derwent River, and to the south by the Huon River. It includes Bruny Island. Hobart is located in the county.

The 1911 Britannica mentions Hobart as being in the county. [1] The county name was also used on a post office directory in 1890-91.
