Brava, LLC, a Miami based company, was founded in 1999 by parent company Bio-Mecanica, Inc. Brava retains the sole rights to patent, manufacture, promote and distribute a non-surgical breast tissue expansion device called the Brava Breast Enhancement and Shaping System, using technology developed by Bio-Mecanica, Inc. The company distributes the system in the U.S. and Canada direct to consumers as well as through Brava Authorized Physicians. [1]

The U.S Food and Drug Administration allowed ‘’’Brava’’’ to market the Brava System in 1999. The company later introduced the Brava Breast Enhancement and Shaping System as a non-surgical device used for breast augmentation in 2001. ‘’’Brava International’’’, another subsidiary of Bio-Mecanica, expanded Brava products into Europe and Asia in 2002. In 2006, ‘’’Brava’’’ introduced the BravaSport System, a second form of the original breast enhancement device. [2]
