Brand Brewery

Brand Brewery is a Dutch brewery founded in 1871 by the Brand family in Wijlre (municipality Gulpen-Wittem), Netherlands. It is now owned by Heineken.
The name comes from the Brand family which in 1871 purchased the Netherlands oldest brewery (1341) and remained in management after its acquisition by Heineken.
Beers produced are:
- Brand Pils (sold in the United States as Royal Brand Beer (5.0% ABV)
- Brand Urtyp a 5.5% ABV premium Pilsner. Urtyp stands for 'original'.
- Brand Cuvée A beer made out of a top-fermenting as well as a bottom fermenting yeast strain.
- Brand Imperator
- Brand Dubbelbok A seasonal beer (7.5% ABV) only available in Autumn.
- Brand Oud Bruin (Brand Old Brown) A mild-sweet maltbeer. Dark colored and a low alcoholpercentage (3,5%)
Beers are not pasteurised and have long lagering periods.
