Blitz Games

Located in the town of Leamington Spa in England, Blitz Games is one of the UK's largest and most stable independent computer and video game developers. It was established in 1990 by the Oliver Twins, best known for creating the Dizzy series for Codemasters in the mid 1980s. Blitz was originally known as 'Interactive Studios'. It specializes in producing mass-market family games on all console formats using their own middleware. They are a highly recognised developer and work with many leading international publishers.
Most recently, Blitz Games has found success within advergames developing the nearly 4 million-selling Xbox and Xbox 360 games Sneak King, Pocketbike Racer and Big Bumpin' for fast food purveyor Burger King (The best selling game of the 2006 Christmas season [1]).

- Creates mature games. Video games created by this division include Reservoir Dogs, runner up in the 2006 BAFTA awards for best sound track Link. Despite allowing the player to complete the game without firing a single shot, the game was considered so realistic in its depictions of violence that it was banned in Australia Link.
- Creates serious games. It is best know for its work on medical related training programs including the award-winning Interactive Trauma TrainerLink. TruSim is well respected for its approach to serious games.
- Creates downloadable games. They are best known for the creation of the extremely popular Burger King Advergames 'King Games' (Includes Pocketbike Racer, Sneak King, and Big Bumpin').
- Blitz Arcade is further believed to be developing downloadable games and content for Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 3 (titles so far unknown)Link.
