Baychester is a neighborhood in the northeastern Bronx in New York City, bounded by Boston Road and Tillotson Avenue on the northwest, the Hutchinson River on the east, Gun Hill Road and Allerton Avenue on the south, and Laconia Avenue on the west. Main roads in Baychester include East Gun Hill Road, Eastchester Road, and Allerton Avenue. The Co-op City housing development is in the eastern part of the area. The neighborhood is part of Bronx Community Board 12.

Baychester is a largely residential neighborhood with commercial strips along Boston Road and Gun Hill Road. Most residents live in one to three family detached brick homes and are of Afro-Caribbean and Latino descent, and if Pelham Gardens is counted as a subsection of Baychester, Italian descent. The neighborhood has experienced a surge in housing development, with more units being built on the last remaining plots of lands.
