Baclaran

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Baclaran is a barangay (or locality) located on the borders of Parañaque City and Pasay City in Metro Manila, Philippines.

The area is well-known for the Baclaran Shrine, home of Our Mother of Perpetual Help.

It also contains a number of dry goods and flea markets (tiangges), selling everything from clothes and electronics to home decorations and traditional medicine.

Baclaran is a major transportation hub, with many buses and jeepneys terminaing here. Buses that ply the EDSA route end here, as they are prohibited on Roxas Boulevard.

It is also the southern terminal station of the Manila LRT Yellow Line (LRT-1) where trains run towards Monumento LRT Station in Caloocan City.

Cycle rickshaws can also be used to navigate the interior streets.
