Ayer Keroh

Ayer Keroh is a town situated in the state of Malacca, Malaysia.

The town is a major tourist spot of the state, apart from the old Malacca Town, due to it hosting various interesting attractions.

The Mini Malaysia and Mini ASEAN Park is situated in the town. The Park has scaled down versions of traditional houses typically found in each of the states of Malaysia as well as those found in the ASEAN region. It is an interesting insight into the culture and lifestyle of traditional Malaysia and ASEAN.

Another site of attraction is the Zoo Melaka. Recently it has started a Night Zoo programme where tourists can observe animals at night, especially viewing the nocturnal animals in action. The Night Zoo is opened on Fridays to Sundays.

If u can't get enough of animals, there is also the Butterfly Park, Crocodile Farm (Taman Buaya) and the World Bees Museum.


Ayer Keroh has become home to medical students from all over Malaysia as well as foreigners due to it being the location of Melaka Manipal Medical College. Since its inception in 1997, it has produced many fine doctors who are currently serving the needs of their respective countries.

It is also the location of the Melaka campus of Multimedia University (MMU), which was established in 1996 and is the first private university approved by the Government of Malaysia. The Melaka campus houses the Centre for Foundation Studies and Extension Education and three Faculties: Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Information Science and Technology and Faculty of Business and Law.

Pantai Ayer Keroh, is a private hospital situated here.


The Ayer Keroh toll is the main entry point into Melaka state using the North-South Expressway. This makes it easily accessible from any part of Peninsular Malaysia.

The town is about 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur and one hour from Seremban.

Ayer Keroh is also about 3 hours drive from Singapore.
