Asahi (旭市 Asahi-shi?) is a city located in Chiba, Japan.

The city was founded on July 1, 1954. On July 1, 2005, the city merged with the town of Hikata from Katori District and the towns of Unakami and Iioka from Kaijo District to form the new city of Asahi.
