Asaf ad-Dawlah Mir Ali Salabat Jang was an Indian king in the Deccan.

Nawab Sayyid Muhammad Khan Bahadur was born in Hyderabad as the third son of Asaf Jah I before 24 November 1718.

His official name is Amir ul-Mamalik, Asaf ud-Daula, Nawab Said Muhammad Khan Bahadur, Zaffar Jang, Nawab Subadar of the Deccan.

Asaf ad-Dawlah Mir Ali Salabat Jang was appointed as Deputy Viceroy to his elder brother, Ghazi ud-din (official name:Amir ul-Umara, Nizam ul-Mulk, Asaf ud-Daula, Nawab Mir Ghazi ud-din Khan Bahadur, Firuz Jang), 1751. He proclaimed at the camp near Lakkireddipalli, at French instigation, 13 February 1751. He was invested by Imperial firman, at Aurangabad, 12 September 1749. He was granted the titles of Khan Bahadur and Salabat Jang during his father's lifetime and was promoted to Asaf ud-Daula and Zaffar Jang in 1751 and Amir ul-Mamalik by the Emperor Alamgir II. He was the ruler of the Hyderabad State in India from 1751 until 1762.

He was deposed by his brother, Asaf Jah II, on July 8, 1762 and ordered held in Bidar Fort prison where he was killed on September 16, 1763.
