Asad Ahmed

Asad Ahmed is a Pakistani guitarist.

Ahmed grew up listening to his favorite western band KISS. Asad Ahmed is known for forming the first mainstream rock band ever in Pakistan, "THE BARBARIANS" in 1989. Due to lack of people awarness towards rock music, the band was disbanded right after their debut released; it was released only for limited time. Then Asad Ahmed met Haroon and Faakhir Mehmood and they formed the band called Awaz. Awaz became the household name in Pakistan. Still Asad Ahmed is well known because of his Awaz days. After 8 years when Awaz officially announced their break-up, Asad Ahmed formed his own rock band "Karavan". Karavan's last album was released in 2002 called Gardish. Since then Asad Ahmed been working on the fourth Karavan album. Also he's planing to release a solo album in the future.
