Antrax is a fictional artificial intelligence from the Shannara series by Terry Brooks.

Created in the era before the Great Wars, Antrax was an unnamed program created to safeguard valuable information of the sciences of Man. Passed over by the Great Wars, Antrax began constucting defenses for itself. Among these were metallic Creepers and evil cyborgs called wronks, the latter of which held the trapped souls of those whose bodies had been used to compose them. The native people of Parkasia, the land Antrax resided in, gave it its name. However, as time wore on, Antrax's power began to wear down, and it sought out new energy. It found it in magic recovered from the Old World of Faerie, and began luring magic-wielders from the Four Lands to recharge itself.

When Walker Boh and his company came in search of that which Antrax hid, it took several measures. It trapped Walker below ground, using technology to siphon off his magic. It then created a wronk out of the finest fighter of the company, the Elf Ard Patrinell. However, Antrax was defeated when Walker fried its circuity using his magic, destroying the knowledge but also ending its threat. With Antrax dead, its strange hold over the surrounding landscape faded, and the realm of Castledown where it hid faded into the past.
