Anna Madeley (born in 1977) is a British actor. She grew up in London, attending North London Collegiate School followed by the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Madeley has been described by the British Theatre Guide's Philip Fisher as one of the United Kingdom's "brightest and most versatile young actresses".[1] She has appeared as Lydia Languish in "The Rivals" at the Bristol Old Vic theatre and played roles in the Yorkshire Television series "The Royal",[2] in "Coram Boy"at the National Theatre,[3] and in television films such as Aftersun and The Outsiders.

Madeley was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company(RSC) for the seasons 2001-2 and 2003-4.[4] She acted in The Roman Actor opposite Sir Antony Sher.

In 2006, Madeley played the title role in a fictional story on BBC TV based upon the experiences of Mrs Beeton called The Secret Life of Mrs Beeton. [5] The following year she appeared in Channel 4's Consent, in which a dramatised vignette about an alleged "date rape" was followed by a "real life" sequence in which lawyers and a jury participated in a trial.
