Andrew Prine

Andrew Lewis Prine (born February 14, 1936 in Jennings, Florida) is an American film, stage, and television actor.

His first important film role was as Helen Keller's older brother James in The Miracle Worker (1962) and became somewhat famous playing rodeo rider Andy Guthrie the TV show Wide Country. He married Sharon Farrell in 1962, but she left him the same year for actor Vince Edwards. He was involved with actress Karyn Kupcinet, who was murdered in 1963. Innuendo regarding the unsolved case is said to have harmed Prine's career.

In the 1970s, Prine appeared as Alex McSween in Chisum (1970) and in the starring role in Simon, King of the Witches (1971). He also appeared nude in a women's magazine.

He appeared in the 1983 NBC mini series V as the evil "Visitor" named Steven and reprised his role in the 1984 sequel V: The Final Battle.

Prine also starred on the late night soap Dallas as Harrison Van Buren III in 1989, and on the USA Network tv series Weird Science as Wayne Donnelly from 1994–1996.

Portrayed General Richard B. Garnett in Ronald F. Maxwell's Gettysburg (film) (1993).

He has made guest appearances in many TV shows, some of them range from Have Gun Will Travel, Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, Star Trek: The Next Generation in the season 6 episode "Frame of Mind" as Administer/Lieutenant Suna, and in Star Trek Deep Space Nine as the Cardassian named Legate Turrel in the season three episode "Life Support".
